The 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 has been completely redesigned for its next generation. What's New in the Redesigned 2027 Sierra 1500
- New engines: a 5.7L and a 6.6L sixth-generation Small Block V8, plus an enhanced 2.7L TurboMax with 40 more horsepower than before.
- Up to 13,500 lbs of towing with the available 5.7L V8, properly equipped.
- 16.3-inch center touchscreen, the largest in its class, with Google built-in, including Google Maps and Gemini.
- More than 60 inches of combined screens on Denali Ultimate, including an 11.5-inch front-passenger display and a 15-inch head-up display.
- Super Cruise hands-free driving standard on AT4, AT4X, Denali and Denali Ultimate, and it works even while towing.
- New exterior design with 7-shaped headlamps and taillamps, a vertical grille and available quad exhaust.
- 12 new standard safety features including Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, and Rear Pedestrian Alert.

The 6.6L V8 is GMC's pick for performance. At 481 hp, it is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class. For long highway drives, the 3.0L Duramax diesel can go more than 900 highway miles on its 34-gallon tank, according to GMC. The 2027 AT4X adds a new Baja drive mode for high-speed off-road driving, Multimatic dampers, front and rear electronic locking differentials, and 35-inch Goodyear tires. It is a natural fit for Pacific Northwest logging roads and forest-service trails. Inside, an exclusive Timber Mahogany interior with carbon-fiber accents sets it apart.
Sierra Denali Ultimate: Luxury Without Compromise
Denali Ultimate brings forged birch wood trim, dynamic ambient lighting and more than 60 inches of digital displays. Super Cruise is standard with a three-year subscription, and it works hands-free on compatible roads even while towing a trailer.
Technology and Interior
The redesigned cabin has a 16.3-inch touchscreen, a 12.2-inch digital driver display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. It also has dual MagSafe-compatible wireless charging and six USB ports. The new MultiPro center console doubles as a mobile workstation, and up to 19 camera views, including Hitch View and underbody cameras, make parking and hitching easier. GMC also says the Crew Cab has best-in-class standard front headroom and legroom.

The enhanced MultiPro Tailgate now has an integrated ruler, and 16 standard tie-down locations (the most in the class) keep your cargo secure, whether you're hauling lumber from the hardware store or gear for a weekend at the coast.
